If you are experiencing a problem with rodents dropping materials from the roof, walls, or ceilings of your building, then OdorXpert is here to help.
To determine if you have a rodent-dropping problem, first ask yourself these four questions:
1. What material is being dropped?
This is the most important question to answer when determining if you have a rodent-dropping problem. Rodents will drop materials from just about any surface in and around your building – including the ceiling, walls, and even the floor! Typically, they will drop small objects (such as pieces of food) but they can also drop large objects (such as chunks of concrete).
2. When is this happening?
One of the best ways to identify a rodent dropping problem is to track when and where the drops are occurring. This can be done using video surveillance or by counting how many drops occur over a specific period of time. If there is an uptick in drops during certain times of the day or week, this may be suggestive that rodents are responsible. Additionally, if there are multiple areas within your building where drops are happening, it may be indicative that there is a larger issue at hand.
3. Are there any signs of damage?
If pieces of material are being dropped from high up in your building, chances are that something may be wrong with the condition or construction of those spaces. For example, if pieces of insulation are being dropped from the roof space.
